Department of Health and Human Services. This national emergency has had an enormous impact on the ECE sector, but consistent, representative data are not available to help us understand that impact. OPRE has contracted with NORC to conduct a follow-up study with providers and classroom staff to learn more about how the pandemic has affected the ECE community and what assistance is most needed to help us through the recovery. Interviews will be taking place at two time points over the next year, beginning in late Fall and again later in Individuals participating in the study may complete the survey over the phone with an interviewer or online. The information collected in these interviews will be paired with data from the NSECE to create a national picture of ECE providers and classroom both before and during the pandemic.
